About me
Who I am & why I created Lumaya
My name is Harte, and I am the founder of Lumaya.
My journey has been one of learning, unlearning and finding my way back to myself. For a long time, I struggled with fear of failure, self-doubt and the feeling that I had to prove myself. I knew how to keep going, to strive for more and to hold myself to high expectations, but I had to learn what it truly meant to slow down, to listen to myself and to feel at home in my own body.
Over time, I began to understand that growth isn't always about becoming more, doing more or finding all the answers. Sometimes, it is about letting go of who you think you need to be. About learning to recognise your patterns, making space for the emotions you would rather avoid, and allowing yourself to exist without constantly feeling the need to change or improve.
This journey has shaped the way I see people, wellbeing and personal growth. I have become deeply interested in the connection between our bodies, our emotions, our thoughts and the way we move through life. In how much we carry without realising it, how easily we disconnect from ourselves, and how different life can feel when we begin to approach ourselves with more awareness, honesty and compassion.
I believe there is strength in softness, courage in vulnerability and freedom in learning to be yourself without constantly seeking permission from the outside world. I believe we can be ambitious without abandoning ourselves, sensitive without seeing it as a weakness, and strong without always having to hold everything together.
These are not simply things I want to teach. They are things I continue to learn and embody in my own life.
My personal mission
My mission is to create spaces where people feel safe enough to reconnect with themselves, explore who they are and discover what it means to live in a way that feels true to them.
I want to help people move beyond simply functioning, performing and meeting expectations. To become more aware of what they feel, what they need and what they have been carrying. To develop a relationship with themselves that is not built on criticism, pressure or the constant feeling of not being enough, but on trust, understanding and self-respect.
For women especially, I want to create space to explore the relationship with their bodies, their femininity, their voice and their desires. To embrace both softness and strength, to take up space without guilt, and to discover that they do not have to become someone else to be worthy of the life they want.
But my mission extends beyond one specific practice or audience. I want wellbeing and personal growth to become something we can experience in real, everyday life. Through movement, breathwork, education, meaningful conversations, community and moments that bring us back to the present.
I do not believe in telling people who they should become. I believe in creating the conditions in which they can get to know themselves more deeply and make their own choices from that place.
Why I created Lumaya
Lumaya is the expression of that mission.
I wanted to create a place that brings together everything I believe matters: feeling safe enough to be yourself, having the freedom to explore, learning to listen to your body, connecting with others and making room for personal growth.
A place that feels welcoming rather than intimidating. Grounded rather than complicated. A place where you do not have to arrive with a clear goal, have everything figured out or be at a certain point in your journey.
Through Lumaya, I bring together wellbeing experiences, breathwork, feminine embodiment, workshops, courses and a physical space where other people can share their knowledge and passion, too. Different offerings, connected by one underlying intention: to create more space for awareness, connection and growth.
Because I believe that when we feel more connected to ourselves, we can begin to make different choices. We can recognise our limits, express our needs, build healthier relationships and show up in our lives with greater intention.
For me, Lumaya is not about having all the answers or presenting a perfect version of what personal growth should look like. It is about creating space for the process itself. The moments of clarity, the uncomfortable questions, the small changes and the experiences that remind us what it feels like to be present in our own lives.
I am still learning, growing and discovering what this vision can become. And that is part of what makes it meaningful to me.
At the heart of everything I create is one simple intention: to help people find their way back to themselves, and to create space for them to feel, grow and connect along the way.
That is where Lumaya begins. And that is the mission I carry with me.
